Sierra Leone at the UN Security Council
Two years on the Council, two presidencies, and one visual system that every statement could slot into.

Sierra Leone held an elected seat on the Security Council in 2024 and 2025 and chaired the Council in August 2024 and November 2025. Statements, briefings and events came out almost daily, and each one had to look like it came from the same delegation.
I set up a template in the Mission’s navy and green: a photograph of the delegate at the horseshoe table, a fixed panel for the meeting title, and a green date tab. The same parts carried countdowns, the presidency’s eight priorities, personalised breakfast invitations for Council members, printed menus, a peace concert at UN Headquarters and a panel in Geneva.
One template, every meeting
Statement cards from the 2024 term. The photograph changes; the title panel, date tab and Mission mark stay in place, so the series reads as one voice in a busy feed.
Ministers visiting New York, A3+ joint statements and open debates all used the same frame.

August 2024 presidency. A seven-day countdown, the eight priorities deck, breakfast invitations addressed to each Permanent Representative, the menu, and the Sierra Leone Peace Concert at UN Headquarters.
Greeting guests in Krio. For the Mission’s receptions I set two Krio greetings, hello and thank you, with a pronunciation line under each so guests could say them back.

November 2025 and UNGA 80
For the second presidency I widened the frame to landscape for news use and added a presidency banner across the top.
Below: the Mission’s special publication for the 80th UN General Assembly, a 30-page booklet on Sierra Leone’s record at the UN, ECOWAS at 50 and the Ezulwini Consensus.
